The 2024 Understanding China International Conference is held in Guangzhou. While attending the conference, Yao Yang, a senior economist at Peking University said that the Greater Bay Area (GBA) boasts numerous advantages in terms of new quality productive forces. In particular, the triangular area formed by Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Shunde on the west bank of the Pearl River, constitutes an innovation center in China.
